The Collection Unit is a highly portable device designed to meet the demands of nitrous oxide usage in the field or in small spaces. It is a smart and efficient solution for those who use N2O infrequently.
Collection Unit
Medclair has developed a world-unique patented Collection Unit (CU) that is designed to be ultra-portable and meet the needs of nitrous oxide usage in field work, small spaces, or situations where space and weight are limited. The CU is a smart and effective solution for those who do not frequently use N2O. The unit can be powered either actively, with a battery-powered fan, or passively through negative pressure.
Medclair's development of the CU began with input from first responders in ambulances and helicopters, where the use of nitrous oxide presents challenges due to small and confined spaces. The solution is a case containing a reusable adsorbent that collects the nitrous oxide and emits exhalation air scrubbed from N2O. The adsorbent cartridges are reusable, and the N2O is destroyed, ensuring environmentally friendly nitrous oxide usage.
Our initial target for the usage of the Collection Unit is for rescue workers, first responders, small dental clinics, or other small facilities where an ultra-portable solution for nitrous oxide is needed in small spaces.
